On this two
day course you will learn how to paddle your kayak
safely on White Water up to grade 2. Following the
BCU Three Star syllabus you will progress towards
becoming an intermediate padler. As always on our
courses, you will receive individual feedback enabling
you to go away and practice further before attending
an assessment course. The Three Star Award is a pre-requisite
for the Level Two Coach Award.
Skills that you will cover include
forward paddling, moving sideways on the move, supporting
on the move, rolling, breaking into and out of a
flow, ferry gliding and basic rescue skills for
the moving water environment.
